BB guns are crazy. There are some .22 caliber ones that are shooting BBs/pellets at 1260fps. Which is just as fast as an actual .22LR bullet.

I had one that was at least 1200 fps. I pumped it up, shot it at the back fence of our property (about 75 yards away) and it hit the fence, and bounced all the way back and hit the house above my head.

I shot into the creek bed from then on lol. the amazing part was we had it to piss off the ground hogs that were tunneling in the creak bed/out into the yard. I’d shoot it and it would jump a good 2 feet in the air then run back in its hole. 10 minutes later...there’s jackass gopher again. Shoot, jump, run, hide, return. This went on for an hour before he gave up.

Back when I was a hooligan (middle school), we used to take all the nonfunctional electronics that we couldn’t salvage and destroyed them in any way possible.

A few first gen ipod shuffles got blown apart with a shotgun (in a controlled environment with a friend’s parent helping)

An old computer tower got stomped by a cinder block from ~25-30 ft drop from a tree.

Several phones met the same demise except from the third floor in the house to the basement down the old dumbwaiter shaft.

Anything with a compartment big enough got destroyed via a “works bomb”

This is little known, but the Lewis and Clark expedition took along Air Rifles Of Doom for doing game hunting - which they were very successful with.

Yeah, it’s ridiculous. I remember not all that long ago I had a hot shit pellet gun that would hit like 950 FPS and it was one of the better ones on the market aside from the actual competition guns.

Of course now when stuff needs to get ‘sploded I have real guns. One of my favorite things is shooting bowling pins. We drill the head of the pin and hang it with a piece of string off of a target stand. The pins are wood with a vinyl outer jacket. Hit it with a .22 and it makes a tiny little entry hole about the size of the bullet and the bullet stops in the wood. Hit it with a rifle round like a 5.56mm or 7.62x39mm and you get a slightly bigger entry hole and a nice hole out the back about the side of a quarter. Then I like to get out my .300 Win Mag. Using 180 gr. BTHP rounds, you get an entry hole the size of a quarter and it completely blows the back half of the pin out.
